Probate and Wills

You may have noticed that family courts are often called “probate and family courts.” Probate issues deal with wills, estates, and guardianships, and can be tied in closely with other family law matters. Having a will drawn up– even a very simple one– is critical for providing for the future safety and well-being of your family in the event of your death. This is particularly important if you own property or any other assets, or if you need to put a plan in place for the care of your children.
